Welcome to Kibworth High School. As Headteacher, I am proud to be leading
a school which was judged by Ofsted
in April 2013 as being good with outstanding features. As one of the top performing Leicestershire 11-14 high schools, we are delighted with our consistently excellent results, our outstanding behaviour and level of care, high quality teaching and first rate accommodation. |
If you are considering sending your child to Kibworth High School, our prospectus, DVD, website and Open Evening should provide answers to most of your questions. However, if you still have queries, please telephone me on 0116 279 2238, or make an appointment to see me, or email me on: admin@kibworthhigh.leics.sch.uk
Yours sincerely,
Mrs Angela Edwards

We were delighted to welcome the poet Ash Dickinson into school on Monday 15th April. Working with Y8 pupils, Ash started the day in assembly, energising them with performance of a range of his own poetry. During the course of the day, Ash worked with about 150 pupils, encouraging and supporting them through writing Haikus and Quatrains. Each workshop culminated in a 'Slam!' style poetry competition, with pupils performing their own works. Pupils said that the workshops had been 'fun', 'interesting' and that Ash was 'cool'! Teachers were thrilled to see that pupils were swept into the poetic activity and that many produced poems of a standard they could feel very proud of. |

Before Christmas, several of our students entered a poetry competition organised by the Leicester charity, ‘Hope Against Cancer’. Diane Miller, Hope Ambassador visited the school on Friday 22nd March to present awards to two winners: Will Killington and Melissa English, both in Y8.
The theme of the competition was ‘A Tall |
 |
Shadow’. 545 entries were received; we are told that they were all of a very high standard. Will and Melissa have done very well to compete successfully in this important competition, which is open to all young people. |
